Bracknell’s South Hill Park has scooped another gold award from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

This year Bracknell in Bloom submitted a total of five parks to the Parks and Open Spaces category and all won awards!

Lily Hill Park, Mill Park and Jocks Lane Recreation Ground won Silver Gilt Awards and The Elms was awarded Silver.

Bracknell in Bloom is supported by Bracknell Town Council and Bracknell Forest Council and welcomes all volunteers including corporate volunteers who help with planting up flowerbeds, litter picking, tree planting, painting playgrounds and lots more activities.

“I congratulate the hard work of the landscaping teams from both Bracknell Town Council and Bracknell Forest Council who work together seamlessly to maintain the quality of our parks,” says Bracknell in Bloom Chairman Allan Moffat.

“We are especially proud that Bracknell’s South Hill Park has won another Gold Award and that we have such delightful green spaces to enjoy as Bracknell residents.” says Bracknell Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham.

Bracknell in Bloom also runs Your Gardens, an annual public gardening competition open to Bracknell residents, businesses, schools, streets and community groups and is free to enter. The competition’s aim is to encourage the community to take pride in Bracknell, making it an attractive place to live, work and visit.
