Burst water main, London Road

24th May 2017 Posted in Council News

Service:                Highway Network Management

Time:                    24th May 2017 at 14:09

Location:             London Road, Bracknell

Advice:                 There is a burst water main on London Road, Bracknell which could potentially cause delays.  It is on the carriageway heading towards Bracknell between the junction with Swinley Road and the Mercedes Roundabout.

Who is affected:  Anyone wishing to travel down London Road between the junction with Swinley Road and the Mercedes Roundabout.

Action taken:        Affinity Water are on site and will be carrying out a repair.  They are in the process of assessing the extent of the repair required and so we are currently unsure of the effect that these works will have on the road.  At present, we believe that these works can be carried out under a lane closure or possibly under 2 way lights.  However, this could change once the water has been cleared and the carriageway damage is exposed. We will update as required.
