Jealott’s Hill Landshare AGM

14th September 2017 Posted in Community News

Town Mayor Cllr Clive Harrison, Deputy Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham, Town Clerk Jackie Burgess and Recreational Facilities Manager Allan Moffat attended the Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 13th September 2017.

Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare (JHCL) is a six acre horticultural garden managed by volunteers, providing a welcoming and safe environment to grow produce and engage in activities to support biodiversity and the natural environment.
The garden is in a rural location centrally located between Bracknell and Maidenhead and features a 400 tree orchard, half acre vineyard, large polytunnel, three acres of cultivated ground and plans to develop a half acre sensory garden.

Their mission is to create an environment where they encourage and nurture individuals and groups to learn, share and develop skills whilst maintaining a sustainable environment.

JHCL is a partnership between Syngenta, the land owner, Bracknell Forest Homes, Warfield Parish Council and Bracknell Town Council which collectively form a proactive steering group, supported by a participant group the Friends of Jealott’s Hill. David Putt is the Project Manager.
