Bracknell Town Mayor Cllr Clive Harrison was pleased to attended the SANDs family fun day and charity football match held on Sunday 2nd July at Bracknell Town Football Club.
The event was held in memory of Jayden Lovejoy and Evelyn Jean Blackman, with all donations received going to the SANDs still birth and neonatal death charity.
There was an exciting array of activities for all the family to enjoy from the DJ, glitter faces, bouncy castle and football games to a fire engine, tombola and arts and crafts to name a few.
The crowds gathered in anticipation for the main event that consisted of the charity football match between Whitegrove FC and Loveman FC – a team made up of family members of Jayden and Evelyn. The exhilarating match saw Loveman FC defeat Whitegrove FC with Levi Tippett winning man of the match. Town Mayor Cllr Clive Harrison presented Loveman FC with the winning trophy.
The fun day continued with a successful raffle draw, followed by an auction of signed football shirts from Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona.
The enjoyment carried on into the evening with music from a local band The Point.
The charity event and Just Giving Page raised £6145.00 in donations. “Sunday was a HUGE success! We are absolutely chuffed to bits by the amount of donations received. This is so far beyond what we ever imagined we would be able to raise” said organiser Jodie Blackman.
This event gave Town Mayor Cllr Clive Harrison the opportunity to learn more about SANDs still birth and neonatal death charity.
