On 12th October (Hispanic Day as known in Spain) Bracknell Town Council, Bracknell in Bloom, Oaktree Garden Centre and Nursery and The Ark Trust gathered at The Elms Recreation Ground to show special guest Lourdes from Cepa Arucas Y Firgas the progression of the Spanish and Canary Islands flag emblem flower beds planted in June.
The Ark Trust Ltd is a local charitable organisation providing a number of services to local people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups. The Ark Trust has connections with Cepa Arucas Y Firgas, a school located in the Canary Islands, whom recently planted English Roses in their school garden in union with The Ark.
Bracknell Town Mayor Cllr Clive Harrison and Mayoress Ximena Harrison were delighted to meet Lourdes due to their Spanish connection.
Members of The Ark Trust were pleased to be part of this year’s Thames and Chiltern Britain in Bloom award and are seen proudly holding the Bracknell in Bloom Silver Gilt certificate and trophy that were awarded.
