Bracknell resident Jessie Ritchie celebrated her 100th birthday on Friday 24th January 2020. She remains very active in the community and is keen on helping people. Jessie still volunteers her time to help a selection of local Community Groups and is a very valued member of society.
Bracknell Town Mayor, Councillor Isabel Mattick visited Jessie on the morning of her birthday to present her with a blooming bunch of flowers and a card. The Town Mayor said: “It was a privilege to honour Jessie on her special day”. Councillor Mattick met Jessie through their work with the Red Diamond Sports Club which provides sports for people of all ages with disabilities.
Jessie was thrilled to receive the flowers and also received a personally signed card from Her Majesty the Queen and a telegram from the Department for Works and Pensions congratulating her on this wonderful milestone.
