Willow, the female swan was unfortunately killed during Saturday night (22/09/2017) at North Lake South Hill Park.
Due to the incident on 22.09.17 we ask you follow the guidance below at all times to ensure everyone can enjoy the use of Bracknell Town Council’s Recreation areas:
Dog owners are requested to keep their dogs on a lead when walking around all our lakes, ponds and water courses. This is to avoid them chasing and disturbing the wildlife. Dogs must also remain on their leads at the Larges Lane Cemetery. If our Environment Wardens see a dog that is not under proper control, they can tell the person in charge of the dog to put on a lead. Dogs are not permitted within our fenced play areas, ball courts and on our allotments sites.
Dog Control Orders – all our sites are covered by dog control orders. These give our Environment Wardens the power to enforce rules governing where dogs must be kept on a lead and where dogs are prohibited. Our Environment Wardens also have the power to warn or fine offenders for dog fouling.
“The killing of a swan is a very sad occurrence. We ask that users follow Bracknell Town Council’s guidance at all times, to ensure everyone can enjoy the use of our recreation areas.”
Councillor Chris Turrell, Leader of Bracknell Town Council
