Berkshire Vision AGM

1st October 2018 Posted in Community News

Berkshire Vision is an independent local charity that aims to enable and support visually impaired people in Berkshire to live safely and independently and to enhance their quality of life.

People are passionate about what they do at Berkshire Vision and all generations are supported with a complete range of services – that’s 2000 people across Berkshire. At the AGM on Friday 28 September, the new Chief Executive, Louise Lucio-Palk, introduced her five year business plan informed by members, volunteers and staff feedback, describing it as a new journey for all ages.

The guest speaker shared his life journey from the morning he awoke without any vision, sinking to rock bottom where his love of football proved a helpful turning point, to re-establishing his career. He then went on to have successful eye surgery and more recently defied expectations with an amazing sky dive. “So heart warming! Bracknell Town Council is proud to support Berkshire Vision,” says Bracknell Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham.
