On Tuesday, April 5, Tony Troughton, Berkshire Association of Local Councils Vice Chairman, presented members of Bracknell Town Council’s Staffing Committee with a Foundation Level Local Council Award.
The Local Council Award Scheme has been designed to celebrate the successes of the very best local councils, and to provide a framework to support all local councils to improve and develop to meet their full potential. The scheme encourages progression by including three award levels: Foundation, Quality and Quality Gold. Councils that receive an award need to meet standards set by the National Association of Local Councils and demonstrate they have put in place the conditions for continued improvement.
Cllr Chris Turrell, Leader of Bracknell Town Council said: “We are delighted to receive a foundation level award. We will continue to look at improving the way we serve the Bracknell Town community and hope to progress up the award levels”.
