Bracknell Town Mayor Running Virtual Marathon for Charity

23rd August 2023 Posted in Council News

Bracknell Town Mayor for 2023-24, Councillor Simon Carter is fundraising for his chosen charity of the year, Power of Parenting. On the 21st of April 2024,  Simon will be running the Virtual London Marathon, doing two laps of the Bracknell Half Marathon route coming through The Lexicon three times.

Power of Parenting is a cause close to his heart as Simon used to be a Foster Parent. This charity works tirelessly to provide activities and education for young people who are looked after or in care, helping them reach their potential.

Times are hard at the moment, but any little donation will help a child or young person in need. Simon’s goal is to raise £500 by the 21st April 2024.

Every little helps – please support Simon and POP on this fundraising journey! You can donate on his Just Giving Page.

If you see him out training, shout hello!
