Deputy Town Mayor Cllr Roger Meakes attended the WJSC annual general meeting held on 18th July 2018.
WJSC are an Independent Local Charity that provides free and confidential support to job seekers. Whilst they mainly handle cases from Wokingham, some Bracknell cases are handled and are referred by the Job Centre at Skimped Hill Fitzwilliam House.
“The AGM was well received by all that attended that also included two civic dignitaries, myself and Wokingham deputy town Mayor Cllr Malcolm Richards.
Neither of us had been to a WJSC AGM before and we were delighted to be given all information of what they do and why they are vitally important as they have to deal with out of work members of the public attempting to seek new employment,” said Deputy Mayor, Cllr Roger Meakes.
