Door Knockers – Loft and Wall Insulation
10th February 2021 Posted in Community News
From: Hazel Hill, Bracknell Forest Council Sustainable Energy Officer.
I am aware there are several companies operating in Bracknell Forest area, including Crowthorne and Sandhurst offering free cavity wall and loft works.
They may be claiming they work for Bracknell Forest or are operating under a contract with us, this is not the case. In these difficult times door knocking is not acceptable.
With many more resident working from home and the increased cost of heating residents may benefit from seeking advice from our Energy pages which offers advice on energy switching, grants and various schemes we currently have in place.
The Help to Heat Scheme enable our more vulnerable residents as those over 60, households with children or if any of the occupiers are suffering with health- related concerns to have work done under this scheme for Cavity wall insulation and loft works free. For this scheme we work with Instagroup on 088051 7654.
We would encourage our residents to seek advice and go to local installers to support the local economy as well as the local installers knowledge of our housing stock. Staying local supports everyone.
