The demolition of the existing pavilion at Great Hollands Recreation Ground is complete to make room for a new pavilion and updated facilities.
The Bracknell Town Council Great Hollands Pavilion Working Group committee attended site with the contractor team Francis Construction and Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham to view the progress and mark the start of the next phase of the pavilion rebuild.
The main aim of the new pavilion is to provide updated facilities for the users of the pavilion and outdoor space. The children’s play area will also be improved along with an accessible water feature.
Chairman of the Great Hollands Pavilion Working Group, Cllr Iain McCracken said “We are delighted the anticipated project at Great Hollands is now proceeding. We look forward to welcoming park users and residents to enjoy the modernised facilities at Great Hollands Recreation Ground once completed.”
Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham added “The new pavilion and improved facilities will be an asset to Bracknell and the community.”
The opening of the new pavilion is scheduled for late 2018.
Due to the Great Hollands pavilion rebuild, there will be limited facilities at this site whilst the construction phase is being carried out. Bracknell Town Council asks that all park users are vigilant of the work vehicles accessing the site during this time.
Bracknell Town Council apologise for any disruption or inconvenience caused and encourage park users to visit the other 30 recreational sites managed by Bracknell Town Council during this time.
