Bracknell Town Council have commenced works at Great Hollands Recreation Ground. The demolition of the existing pavilion is underway to make room for a new pavilion and in doing so update the facilities to create a better user experience for recreational and leisure activities. The main aim of the new pavilion is to provide updated facilities for the users of the pavilion and outdoor space. The children’s play area will also be improved along with an accessible water feature.
The opening of the new pavilion is scheduled for late Autumn 2018.
Chairman of the Great Hollands Pavilion Working Group, Cllr Iain McCracken said “We are delighted the anticipated project at Great Hollands is now proceeding. We look forward to welcoming park users and residents to enjoy the modernised facilities at Great Hollands Recreation Ground once completed.”
Due to the Great Hollands pavilion rebuild, there will be limited facilities at this site whilst the construction phase is being carried out. Bracknell Town Council asks that all park users are vigilant of the work vehicles accessing the site during this time. Bracknell Town Council apologise for any disruption or inconvenience caused and encourage park users to visit the other 30 recreational sites managed by Bracknell Town Council during this time.
