Bracknell Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham was pleased to welcome local historian Mr Andrew Radgick to Full Council on February 26th and to present to him the 640 page publication “Endings of WW1 in the European Homelands” which demonstrates in both words and photos how World War I ended and its repercussions in seven Leverkusen twin towns. Mr Radgick has made contributions to the publication on behalf of Bracknell.
Bracknell Town Mayor had received this newly launched publication from The Lord Mayor of Leverkusen during a recent visit to the twin town of Leverkusen. The Lord Mayor of Leverkusen Uwe Richrath thanked all contributors from the different twin towns for their great commitment saying: “When we come together in memory of the World Wars, we all stand for European cohesion, a European sense of community which is one pretty modern invention. “
When presented with the book, Mr Radgick said, “I am proud to hold this piece of history on behalf of Bracknell Town Council.”
