Elected in May 2023, Councillor Kwabena Adutwum-Quaye, affectionately known as Adu, has been an active and dedicated member of the Bracknell community since relocating to the area in 2007 from Ghana. His academic journey began locally, attending Garth Hill College and Bracknell & Wokingham College, before moving to Coventry University. There, Adu earned a BSc (Hons) in Biological and Chemical Sciences, followed by a postgraduate degree in International Business Management. He has also earned certifications, including CMI Level 7 Awards in Professional Consulting and Strategic Management and Leadership.

Professionally, Adu is a Project Coordinator for NHS England, where he provides strategic support to national healthcare projects. His work involves planning, stakeholder engagement, and supporting the development of national frameworks and transfer-of-care hubs. Prior to this, he held roles at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and contributed to academic governance at Coventry University, where he served on committees and as a student leader.

As a Bracknell Town Councillor, Adu serves as Chair of the Planning Committee and a member of the Strategy and Finance Committee.

Outside his professional and council duties, Adu is an avid sports enthusiast. He is a devoted Chelsea FC supporter and a passionate Formula 1 fan, enjoying the thrill and strategy of the sport.
