Polling Day for Bracknell Town Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

9th September 2021 Posted in Community News

Today (9th September) is polling day for the Bracknell Town Neighbourhood Plan referendum. This is the chance for Bracknell residents to vote for a number of key benefits for the Bracknell community, including:

  • Protection of green space, including designation of 11 local green spaces;
  • More local funding for projects in Bracknell,  through receiving a greater proportion of Community Infrastructure Levy;
  •  Protection of community facilities;
  • Support for improvements to walking and cycling links.

The plan’s policies come from consultation with residents. It has been put together by the BTNP steering group, composed of councillors and residents, and successfully examined by an independent inspector.

Voting is taking place across Bracknell, at 27 polling stations in 14 locations. Polls close 10pm, and the result will be known tomorrow.
