The History of Bracknell Pop Up Museum

21st September 2018 Posted in Community News

As part of the Lexicon’s first birthday celebrations The History of Bracknell Pop Up Museum was created in the foyer of Bracknell Town Council in the heart of the town centre. This was organised by Bracknell Forest Society Events Officer Gill Cheetham and the History Officer and local author Andrew Radgick.

The museum was opened by Bracknell Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham, who said “The items on display were fascinating and ranged from artefacts to books and old photos. Most interestingly, though, local people came not only to look but also to share their own histories and memories of the town.”

The museum was a great success, attracting many visitors over the weekend of the 8th and 9th of September and allowed locals to share the great history of Bracknell.
