Family Support Volunteers Required
11th February 2025 Posted in Community News
ome-Start are looking for new family support Volunteers with parenting experience who can spare 2-3 hours each week to help a local family.
Who is Home-Start
Home-Start Bracknell Forest is an early year’s family support charity, providing regular volunteer-led 1-2-1 support to local families in their own homes. Many parents feel exhausted and overwhelmed by the stresses of family life, particularly if they have little support from family and friends, just when they need it most.
Home-Start Bracknell Forest recruits and trains volunteers from within Bracknell Forest. They carefully match the volunteer with a family in need of support.
Home-Start support Bracknell Forest parents with at least one child aged under 5 years old who are dealing with challenges like isolation and loneliness, poor mental health, sickness and disability, domestic abuse, multiple birth and difficult relationships.
Who are our Volunteers?
Volunteers are from all walks of life and are people who understand the pressures and challenges of raising young children (each and every one a parent, grandparent or carer), and someone with a little free time available each week to help provide emotional and practical help to local families.
