Situated in the south of the parish, Mill Park provides an ideal leisure opportunity for all the family with extensive children’s play areas, a skate park, fishing platforms and walks around the lake (dogs must be kept on the lead around the lake). Remote controlled boats are not permitted in the lake. Play equipment including maze, slide, rope climber, swingabout, swings, maxi-whirl, spring mobile, see-saw, ninja twist, basketball area, maypole, outdoor exercise equipment and teenage meeting place.
The gate will be locked from dusk and re-opened by 7.30 am.
The old boat house houses a family run café (not managed by the Town Council). The cafe offers all day breakfasts, hot & cold sandwiches, burgers, chips, jacket potatoes, confectionery and drinks. The opening times are as follows:
Tuesday – Saturday 9.00am – 2.00pm
Sunday – Monday Closed
There is also is an adjacent McDonalds making this a popular family venue.
